The Canyon Walk in Bright, Victoria takes you along the banks of the Ovens River and the path starts just behind the information centre. Lovely views down into the river and you can see where the heavy flows after snow melting have created a small canyon.
This walk along the river has a path on either side and two suspension bridges to cross over and walk back on the other side of the river (you can make it a shorter walk by crossing at the first suspension bridge and heading back towards Bright). Gold mining was prevalent in this area and there are signs along the path explaining the sluices built into the rock to wash the gravel away.
Path can be a bit up and down with some stairs along the way but relatively easy and we saw a number of families enjoying the Canyon Walk with young children.
