The Lakes Holiday Park - Townsville

The Lakes Holiday Park in Townsville is located close to Castle town Shopping World and easy to access from Woolcock Street.  There is a visitor car park near reception and space to park the van while checking in. The park has a number of one way streets for easy access and several sites overlooking Curralea Lake.

It is situated next to a Mecure Resort and tennis courts, with Red Rooster, Sizzler and Pizza Hut just outside the boom gates near the entrance to the park.

Lakes Holiday Park has a lovely shaded pool and camp kitchen with barbeque facilities.  Nice looking cabins along the right hand side of the entrance with various configurations to suit most visitors - units, villas and bungalow accommodation.  All powered sites have their own ensuite with cement slabs - these were very reasonable and prices at $38 per night (September 2016).  

The whole park has curb and guttering with neat and tidy gardens and plenty of palm trees for shade.  We found the staff to be friendly and helpful - pets are allowed on sites but check with management.

This park also offers vehicle and van storage if you want to head over to magnetic Island or somewhere without the van for few days. A great spot in Townsville.
