The Rockpool is a great swimming spot at the end of The Strand, Townsville. The pool is surrounded by lovely grassed areas where you can sit in the shade and watch the kids in the pool.  It seems to be a very popular spot on a sunny afternoon with a number of people in the water enjoying a refreshing dip.

We enjoyed a lovely walks though the gardens after our lunch at the Fish Inn Rockpool Cafe which is highly recommend for a great seafood meal.
