Townsville is a very large regional city and we stayed at the Walkabout Big 4 Caravan Park on the Corner of the Bruce and Flinders Highways. Located behind a service station, we found it had very good amenities and was quite secure.
It was easy to drive into town. The Townsville Visitor Information Centre was extremely busy. It is surrounded by great coffee shops and cafes.
