We took a package tour when visiting the Stockman's Hall of Fame which included entry to the museum, the Stockman Show and lunch at the Cattleman's Bar and Grill. The Cattleman's Bar and Grill is located within the grounds of this Outback Heritage Centre on Landsborough Highway, Longreach.
Lunch consisted of a steak burger, chips and salad and a can of soft drink. The setting of the restaurant is great - an open air restaurant with huge fans and plenty of shade. We sat at one of the benches and enjoyed watching a couple of kangaroos lazing in the shade of a tree - what a great sight for overseas visitors. After lunch we walked around the grounds surrounding the restaurant which are dotted with sculptures, statues and plaques containing poems about outback Australians.
