Mount Isa Irish Club

The Mount Isa Irish Club can be found on 19th Avenue, Mount Isa and is a great place to visit for a meal. A courtesy bus service is provided by the Club - they happily picked us up from the Sunset Tourist Park so we could enjoy a night out. We met some friends in Kennelly's Piano Lounge for a pre-dinner drink and then headed into Keane's Bar and Grill for a delicious meal. The prices are reasonable - we even received a free bottle of wine with our meal. The staff are friendly and the service was great - we have eaten there on several occasions.

Another spot to enjoy a meal is the Tram Stop Coffee Shop - a refurbished tram from Melbourne is the feature of this area and you can sit inside one of the beautifully maintained tram carriages to eat. There are also plenty of tables surrounding the tram and we went back several times during our stay in Mount Isa for morning tea - great coffee, great service and lots to choose from. They also serve lunch and dinner with daily specials.   

There is a gym downstairs and I understand that the Mount Isa Irish Club also has budget accommodation available. This Club is easy to find and they have lots of car parking spots in the shade. We will definitely go back for a meal and a Guinness when we are next in Mount Isa.
