Tamala Station is in the southern part of the Shark Bay World Heritage Area and can be found on the road to Steep Point - the most westerly point of the Australian mainland. We stayed at one of the beautiful camping spots on Tamala Station and left our caravan here before heading out to Steep Point for the day.
The road from Tamala Station to the entrance of the National Park is a good gravel surface and fairly easy travelling. This road is called Useless Loop Road and travels past a number of properties and the entry to Useless Loop townsite (entry is not permitted).
Just before you enter Edel Land National Park you will need to deflate tyres to 20 psi as the track becomes very sandy and corrugated.
