While staying at Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges National Park in South Australia, we decided to head off on a 4WD trip from Flinders Ranges Way through Bunyeroo Gorge and Brachina Gorge.
Just past a crossing on the Bunyeroo Creek we stopped at Twin Gums Lookout and, as the name suggests, there are beautiful large gum trees at this stopping point on the side of Bunyeroo Road. This area is surrounded by amazing rock formations and well worth the trip. Parts of this road are cut off by water after heavy rain - the Visitor Centre at Wilpena Pound can provide information on the state of the dirt road.
