Bunyeroo Valley Lookout - Flinders Ranges NP

Bunyeroo Gorge is situated in the Flinders National Park and access is along Bunyeroo Road – a dirt track that takes you past amazing rock formations. The Bunyeroo Valley Lookout allows you to look up at these magnificent ranges and marvel at the absolute beauty of this area.  We crossed several areas where water would flow strongly after heavy rain – I would suggest that you check the travelling conditions with the park rangers before entering the gorge (the staff at Wilpena Pound Visitors Centre can help with this information).

There are a number of lookouts along this road and information signs posted along the way tell you the approximate ages of the rocks in this area. Bunyeroo Valley has impressive views to Wilpena Pound's Razorback Ridge from the lookouts.

We travelled through this beautiful country on a day trip from Wilpena Pound Resort Campground and enjoyed a truly lovely day's drive through this magnificent scenery.
