Yanyanna Hut is available for an overnight stay when walking along the Heysen Trail in South Australia. This trail is 1,200 kilometres long and stretches from Cape Jervis, on the Fleurieu Peninsula, to Parachilna Gorge, in the Flinders Ranges. The entire trail will take you past coastal areas, native bush, gorges, pine forests, vineyards, farmland and historic towns. Some people choose to only walk part of the trail and maps are available from the Heysen Trail website.
We came across Yanyanna Hut on Bunyeroo Road within the Flinders Ranges National Park on a day trip through the beautiful gorges of the park.
Huts such as Yanyanna are provided for hikers and this particular site is a basic hut with water, fireplace and camping platform. I understand a fee of $5 is charge to use this facilities for the night.
