The Flinders Ranges National Park is situated approximately 400 km north of Adelaide in the northern central part of South Australia's largest mountain range, the Flinders Ranges. We visited the Flinders Ranges National Park during our recent caravanning adventure around South Australia. We chose to stay at the Wilpena Pound Resort Campground and really enjoyed our large site in this beautiful bush setting. The park has a diverse range of activities including 4WD tours, bush walking, mountain bike adventures, scenic flights and visiting beautiful Aboriginal Rock paintings.
Here are some of the things we did during our trip to the Flinders Ranges:
Fees apply to enter the National Park and a pass can be obtained from the Wilpena Pound Visitor Centre. Permits are required to stay at the campgrounds within the National Park and most of these had toilets as well as barbeque facilities.
