Homestead Caravan Park - Barcaldine

We chose to stay at the Homestead Caravan and Tourist Park during our visit to Barcaldine as it is the closest park to town. The staff were happy to allow us to stay hooked onto the caravan as we only wanted to stop over for one night (even though we protruded onto another site).

Facilities available at the Homestead:

• On site cabins and self contained Units.
• powered shady sites - some drive-through
• unpowered caravan and tent sites
• three amenities blocks - some ensuite style bathrooms 
• seasonal - Billy Tea & Damper nights (free) - live entertainment - Chinese take away (during winter months, every Friday and Saturday night)
• Camp Kitchen - free barbeques
• Kiosk and reception open 7 days - gas refills
• free internet 
• Dump point

The Park is a bit old but the service was great and the showers were hot. There is a service station in front of the caravan park and you are offered a discount for fuel when you stay the night - a great bonus.
