Office Beach Caravan Park - Wallaroo

Office Beach Caravan Park is close to town centre of Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia This caravan park is located on the water front adjacent to the ferry terminal and has a range of cabin accommodation – some of these cabins were the original offices for the Wallaroo Mines.

This caravan park is an older style park with relatively small caravan sites - in fact we would only just be able to fit our van on a couple of the sites that were available during our visit. There are 18 powered sites to choose from (booking ahead is a good idea) and all sites are protected from weather and close to the amenities block.

There are some lovely walking and bike riding tracks along the foreshore of Wallaroo and plenty of historical sites relating to mining in the area. This port was once the second busiest in South Australia due to mining and the smelter – Copper mostly. You can check out the ruins of the smelter and read about how big this industry was from about 1865 to 1920s. Walloroo is great for fishing and there are lots of trawlers on the ocean.
