Hooked on Fish & Chips - Wallaroo

Hooked on Fish & Chips is an award winning takeaway shop in Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. As we were riding our pushbikes around this lovely coastal town we were advised to try lunch at Hooked on Fish & Chips.  Glad we took that advice.

This shop is located on Hughes Street and is a couple of blocks back from the waterfront - just up from the Wallaroo Adventure Playground on the corner of John Terrace and the Spencer Highway. The service was very friendly and the fish and chips cooked perfectly (crumbed King George Whiting). I also tried one of their homemade potato fritters - we call them potato scallops in NSW - delicious.

The shop does not look much from the outside but as we have discovered on our travels that a great exterior does not always equate to great food.
