The Chippy - Mission Beach

The Chippy is a small fish and chip shop on the main road in the popular coastal town of Mission Beach, Queensland.  We were advised by a local that this was one of the best takeaway shops in town.

The Chippy was walking distance to our caravan park so we decided to head up and order some food for dinner. We ordered the crumbed fish, chips and salad meal and this was served in a container so you could eat at one of their outdoor tables or take home. Of course I had to try one of the homemade potato scallops which was very good - not too much batter.

You will find The Chippy by looking for the bright floral tablecloths covering the tables in the outdoor seating area in front of the shop. The Chippy closed at 7 pm during our visit so make sure you check times when holidaying in the area.
