Mission Beach - Visitor Information

We always like to start our visit to a new area with a stop at the Visitor Information Centre and we were very pleased to find the Mission Beach Wet Tropics Visitor Information Centre within walking distance from our caravan park. They can be found in a colourful little building on the main road with plenty of off-road parking and disabled access.

This is a very welcoming spot with plenty of room inside to look around the displays and talk to the friendly staff. Comfortable lounges are provided to sit, relax and peruse the many maps and brochures on display.  They can book tours for you and have a great local knowledge of the area.

The Cassowary can be found along this part of the Queensland coast, and adjacent to the Visitor Centre is the C4 Environment Centre which has excellent rainforest and cassowary displays - a great place to learn about these beautiful Australian birds.
 
The Mission Beach Wet Tropics Visitor Information Centre also has a range of merchandise including camping books, walking trail maps, souvenirs and postcards.
They are open seven days a week.
