Bingal Bay is a lovely little settlement just north of Mission Beach along the Queensland coast.  They have a great camping spot alongside the beach on Alexander Drive off Bingal Bay Road. I recommend a visit to the Bingal Bay cafe for great coffee, meals and cool surroundings - it is the purple building on the corner of Bingal Bay Road.
