Mission Beach Hideaway Holiday Village

The Mission Beach Hideaway Holiday Village is a member of Top Parks and the location of our stay while recently travelling along the coast in northern Queensland. It is conveniently located within walking distance to Mission Beach cafes restaurants and bars and the Visitor Information Centre. We were able to look around to choose a site for the van - this is a very large park and there are plenty of sites to choose from. Make sure you check the TV connection when staying at this park as the lead needs to be connected to the Television itself and not the outlet on the outside of the van. Unfortunately we were not told this at check in and I reported a faulty lead on our departure,

During our short stay we noticed lots of small motor homes come and going each day - great sites for these vehicles are provided at the back of the park along the rainforest. Nice pool area with plenty of covered seating, barbeques and camp kitchens. The amenities are clean and accessed using a key (deposit required at check in).

Some features of the park are:

• slabs for annex at most powered sites
• grassed powered or unpowered camping sites with shade
• two amenities blocks (one with baby bath) - laundry facilities
• games room with big screen TV
• children’s playground
• pool and toddlers pool
• dogs permitted upon application prior to arrival
• large range of cabins and villas

One problems I found at this large park is that the only garbage bins are large receptacles placed in the middle of the park.
