Mission Beach is about 140 kilometres south of Cairns along the Bruce Highway in northern Queensland. We stay at the caravan park and spent a couple of days exploring the area - Mission Beach, Wongaling Beach, South Mission Beach and Bingal Bay. This is a beautiful part of the coast which is popular with holiday makers, back packers and fishermen.
The Visitor Information Centre can be found on Porter Promenade and within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, bars and shops - plus two caravan parks and a variety of accommodation. Plenty of parking is available at the VIC and make sure you leave enough time to visit the Cassowary Centre located next door. Fish and Chips from The Chippy in the main shopping area was very nice.
