While talking to locals at the Mission Beach Visitor Information we asked for the best coffee in town. No hesitation and they suggested we visit the Bingil Bay Cafe about 5 kilometres along Alexander Drive - you can't miss it just look for the purple building on the corner.
What a lovely spot to enjoy coffee or a meal and they even have regular sessions in the evening with live music. The gardens are beautiful with covered verandahs and an eclectic array of seating inside. Great service and great coffee.
Vines growing along the verandah produce some beautiful flowers and the young lady inside explained that they were a Jade Vine and a Japanese Slipper - just amazing.
Highly recommended.
