La Porte Rosse is a lovely little Italian Restaurant in the CBD area of Emerald, Queensland - on the Carnarvon Highway. We walked to town from our caravan at the Emerald Cabin and Caravan Village to explore the town and visit the Central Highlands Visitor Information Centre in Morton Park.
Luckily we walked past Le Porte Rosse at about morning tea time and decided to stop for coffee. Great coffee and chocolate brownie which was serviced with choc ganache and ice cream. Huge slice and plenty for two to share.
While enjoying coffee under the awning outside the restaurant we checked out the menu with a view to returning for dinner. Meals were reasonably priced and we enjoyed friendly service. There are tables inside and out. Ran out of time on this trip for dinner but look forward to a great Italian meal on the next adventure.
