The Emerald Golf course runs along the side of Emerald Cabin and Caravan Village on Opal Street Emerald. The Golf Club itself is only a few blocks walk from the reception of the caravan park and we wandered down for dinner during our stay in town.
It was a Friday night and raffles were in progress so I purchased a few tickets. Low and behold I won two prizes - a voucher to spend at the club so dinner cost us $1, and a voucher for meat at a local butcher (you can either take a meat tray on display for receive a voucher).
The Emerald Golf Club has large outdoor area overlooking the course and there was live music after the raffles. There is an 18 hole course with nice looking fairways and plenty of trees - parts of the course runs alongside the Nagoa River. Visiting golfers are welcome to join into competitions or enjoy a social game. Hire carts are available or try walking the course - it does not seem to be too hilly. The Club is open seven days a week for a cold drink or a meal after your round of golf.
