Emerald Cabin & Caravan Village

Emerald Cabin and Caravan Village is located within walking distance of the CBD. We called in to look at this park when we were travelling through Emerald on our way to Barcaldine. This looks like a lovely place to stay and is located next to the Golf Course (there is a large net constructed along the length of the park to stop any stray balls). The Golf Club has a bar and bistro which is within walking distance of the park so you can head out to enjoy a meal.

In fact we have since stayed at this caravan park on subsequent trips through Emerald on our way to visit our daughter in Mount Isa.  We have had lovely drive through sites which are off-set from the next site and large enough to stay hooked up overnight. We have met some lovely people at the Emerald Cabin and Caravan Village and spent several days exploring the area - Sapphire Gemfields, large replica of Van Gogh's Sunflower painting, Lake Maraboon, Emerald Aquatic Centre etc. We spent a lovely afternoon on our last visit cycling through the Emerald Botanical Gardens.

The sites are quite shaded and some people come back year after year for several months working in the area. We found the staff very helpful during each visit and would not hesitate to call in again on our next trip through central Queensland.
