As soon as we arrived in the NSW country town of Narrabri our first stop (as always) was the Visitor Information Centre which is located on the Newell Highway (Tibbereena Street).
There are public toilets in the park just down from the VIC and also clean toilets within the Centre itself. Plenty of space to park the van on the road or in large car park behind the VIC Building.
This is a large new building with a display of cotton machinery and a bail of cotton – very dense and is apparently enough to make 1200 t-shirts. Range of local produce for sale and of course plenty of brochures and maps of the area. The young girl at the counter was very helpful and supplied us with information on things to see and do as well as a map of Mount Kaputar National Park - highly recommended.
The Information Centre is open on Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, as well as Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays form 9 am to 2 pm.
