Dawson Springs Campground is not far from Mount Kaputar in the Kaputar National Park near Narrabri, NSW. This place is just lovely for a relaxing camping adventure in the bush with good amenities.
We stopped and ate lunch at one of the shaded picnic tables – next to electric barbeques and close to the amenities. There are flush toilets and hot showers in the spacious and clean amenities block. Camping sites are well laid out and a fee is payable.
Three cabins are available for accommodation at Dawsons Spring and they are well appointed with each cabin allocated a name for easy identification. Two cabinshave a double bed, set of bunk beds and two single mattresses while the other cabin has a double bed with a single above and two single mattresses. You need to take your own linen, blankets and food - cutlery and crockery are supplied. Each cabin has a fridge, microwave, and a wood fire (wood is provided). These cabins can be booked on (02) 6792 7300 and are beautifully set among the gum trees with plenty of space to park the car. Cannot wait to go back and spend a few days.
You can hear the creek running nearby and there a number of bush walks to enjoy during the day.
