We spoke to some locals at the Memorial Gardens of Tathra who advised us that another lookout in the area to enjoy whale watching was Chamberlain Lookout at the end of Kianinny Street. They said that the whales you see off the coast from the Memorial Gardens will cruise past Chamberlain Lookout on their way south.
What great views out to sea and along the coast, and yes we spotted more whales breaching in the waters off this beautiful part of the NSW.
From the lookout we also spotted the Kianninny Bay boat ramp and drove down to look at this natural harbour where they have developed a boat ramp and great parking area. You will also find public toilets and picnic tables in the parkland beside the bay.
