There is a fully sealed walking/cycling trail in Renmark along the banks of the Murray River. A map is available at the Renmark Parkinga Visitor Information Centre which gives information about the history of the town and the importance of the river. There are also several interpretative signs along the way with facts on points of interest.
This trail runs along the length of the riverfront at Renmark with an extension of the trail to the nearby town of Paringa (the path over the bridge is separated from the traffic and runs along the centre of the road). We rode our bikes into Renmark from the Riverbend Caravan Park to the end of the trail at New Landing Way before heading back through town and over the bridge to Paringa. This is a relatively easy ride on a fully sealed path - with some sections crossing over residential streets.
The map is easy to following with great information on the history of the Murray River and Renmark. It was a hot day but that was not a problem with many large gum trees shading large section of the Trail. In the centre of town lovely parklands along the riverfront are perfect for a picnic lunch. There are a number of public toilets along the way if you need a comfort stop! We thoroughly enjoyed our ride along the Renmark Riverfront.
