Quandong Cafe is one of three wonderful cafes located on First Street in Quorn, South Australia. We called in to the Quandong Cafe for a cup of coffee and a slice of Quandong Cheesecake. Quandong is a type of native plum and I must say the cheesecake was delicious.
We were treated to great country service - friendly and quick with generous portions. There are a number of tables inside or you can enjoy a cosy cafe table on the covered verandah overlooking the street. There are a number of paintings by local artists hung around the walls for sale and some interesting old pieces of crockery - just like my grandmother used to have.
In the display case at the front counter is a selection of necklaces and bracelets made by a local lady from the Quandong seeds which have been dyed in a variety of colours. Of course I had to have one to go with collection of costume jewelry.
RvTrips highly recommend that you call into the Quandong Cafe in Quorn for coffee and Quandong cheesecake or one of their famous Quandong pies.
