Quorn is a lovely little town at the intersection of the Flinders Ranges Highway and Horrocks Highway (Quorn-Wilmington Road) in South Australia. We had stopped on our way to Wilpena Pound and decided to call in on the way back to try one of the other cafes on First Street in the middle of town (there are three).
Quorn Cafe is an organic cafe in a lovely old building that looks like two cottages from the street. The owner of the cafe has joined the town buildings and the rooms have been opened up to make a large space on either side of the centre wall.
The cafe has plenty of seating with lovely tables nicely spaced out to allow plenty of room for diners. There are teapots and teacups hanging from the ceiling, paintings around the walls for sale and number of old wares on display around each room. Out back is a large shed full of second hand goodies for sale accessed past, the dog, parrot, toilet and funky garden - just beautiful.
We enjoyed coffee and savoury scones (yum) for morning tea and had a lovely chat with the friendly staff. We would not hesitate to call in again.
