Cable Bay Campground is located within Innes National Park on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. This small camping ground is adjacent to the beach - just below Cape Spencer Lighthouse. It is a small area with about eight camp sites which are suitable for tents and campers - large bush sites. Pit toilet facilities are available for the use of campers and visitors.
The sites have great views of the offshore islands and seem to be protected from the southerly winds by the headland. Fees apply for entry and camping and these must be paid online at parks.sa.gov.au/innes. A computer is available at the entrance to Innes National Park for bookings but I understand that this is a very popular spot during holidays - booking ahead may be advisable.
