Wildlife Habitat - Port Douglas

The Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas can be found on Port Douglas Road not far from the intersection of the Bruce Highway. The main building also houses a Wet Tropics Information Centre where you are able to book tours and pick up brochures on major attractions.

Wildlife Habitat is an award winning zoo which allows visitors to see a range of Australian Plants and Animals. They have created an interactive environment for visitors to observe wildlife in their natural settings. Wildlife Habitat explain their breeding programmes as well as wildlife rescue services where they care for injured, orphaned or sick animals.

This place is relative easy to find (located opposite the IGA supermarket) and has plenty of parking available. Make sure you allow lots of time to explore the four distinct North Queensland environments created at the Wildlife Habitat - Woodland, Wetlands, Rainforest and Savannah.  A great experience for the Children.

Wildlife Habitat is open daily from 8 am to 5 pm.
