BIG4 Port Douglas Glengarry Holiday Park - Cabins - Craiglie

The BIG4 Port Douglas Glengarry Holiday Park is about 7 kilometres from the centre of Port Douglas but I think it is the only place to stay when holidaying in this part of Tropical North Queensland.  This is a huge park with beautifully maintained gardens, friendly staff, plenty of activities for the children, clean amenities and a great variety of bird life visiting each day. 

We were lucky enough to be shown inside one of the Valley View Deluxe Family Villas which has two bedrooms (Queen Bed in the main bedroom and double bunks in the other room). These neat and tidy villas are fully self-contained  with great facilities and, of course, views to the valley below from the large balcony (with barbeque).

There are several other types of cabins and villas scattered throughout the tropical gardens and each had a car parking space and plenty of shade. The owners of the park (Margie and Max) have only been in Port Douglas for a few years and are continually upgrading the facilities and accommodation - they were in the process of constructing two villas but had delayed work until after the school holidays so as not to disturb families in the Park.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and extended a couple of times to continue exploring the region. RvTrips highly recommend BIG4 Port Douglas Glengarry Holiday Park as a wonderful place to stay.
