Karumba Point Markets are held on Sunday mornings in the car park behind the Sunset Tavern. We found plenty of interesting craft items for sale - gifts and useful things for the van. Many people travelling around Australia supplement their income by making and selling all sorts of items. These markets are only small but very popular and after you have looked around you can head into the Sunset Tavern for a cuppa.
I found a very interesting cover for the glass lid of the hot plates in the van - held on by elastic so it will not slide off when you lift the lid. Very simple but very effective - it gives you extra bench space because you can place things on the glass lid without fear of scratching it. We also found a stall that printed decals for the back of the van, e.g "Do Not Pass Turning Vehicle" or "UHF 18/40", etc (to let the truckies know that you are contactable via the radio). You could buy one from the supply on display or this couple would organise to print a personal one for your car or caravan.
