Daintree Discovery Centre – turn off onto Tulip Oak Road (the first major road on the right after driving off the Daintree River Ferry. The $32 entry fee (adult) included

The coffee shop and souvenir store are located at the main entrance to the Daintree Discovery Centre. The Daintree is considered to be one of the oldest rainforests in the world and I found it interesting to read about the plants and animals that inhabit this area - look out for the beautiful cassowary. My only disappointment was that you have to pay the entry fee before you are able to read any of the interpretive signs. This was a busy place and I would recommend a climb up the tower to see the bird life high up in the trees.
