Lync-Haven Rainforest Retreat - Motel Camping - Cape Tribulation

Lync-Haven Motel/Camping is on the left hand side of the main road as you head north towards Cape Tribulation. This is a lovely spot to stop for morning tea, lunch or an overnight stay. The cafe has plenty of seating and there are some lovely locations along the verandah to relax while enjoying coffee in the shade.

Several bird aviaries are located about the grounds and we even had a local Rainbow Lorikeet land on a nearby chair – I guess looking for food. They also have a collection of snakes inside - if you are interested in viewing some of the local wildlife. 

A road running alongside the café towards the camping area has a number of units/cabins which look very neat and tidy.  Some buildings house two units and a driveway catering for two cars.

The camping ground sits in the middle of rainforest growth offering powered and un-powered sites. The amenities block is quite old but adequate and there is a covered camp kitchen with a long bench table for guests.  Several very old timber cabins are located within the camping area but I am not sure whether they are still in use.  There are several walking tracks through the rainforest on this property for guest to enjoy.
