On our return journey from Cape Tribulation we decided to head into Cow Bay beach for a look – be warned there are lots of speed bumps on this road. This is a lovely little quiet beach - great for an afternoon stroll on the sand.
As we headed back to the main highway we saw our first Cassowary in the wild, just wandering along the side of the road. I am sure the speed bumps are there to slow the traffic to help keeps these endangered birds safe.
