Capers Cafe is located on Charlotte Street in Cooktown - opposite the Lions Park and has a great view of the Endeavour River. We had asked a local store owner for the best coffee in town and he recommended Capers. It was great coffee - one, two, three or four shots - how strong do you want it?
This place was very popular but we were able to find a seat on the verandah - the food all around us looked delicious. Capers Cafe also have a book exchange for travellers - if you do not have a book to exchange then you are asked to leave $3. They had a great selection of books and I spent some time browsing.
