The Katherine Markets are held every Saturday morning from February to December and are a farmers market where you can buy directly from local producers. They can be found in Ryan Park on the Stuart Highway in the centre of town and are open from 8 am to 1 pm during the dry season and 8 am to 12 pm during the wet season.
These markets were started in 2009 and have grown over the years with stalls selling fresh produce, arts, craft, food and coffee. I really enjoy visiting country markets to support local farmers and community groups - plus I enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables while supporting the local economy.
