During our stay The Big Fig Bistro was located within the Big 4 Low Level Caravan Park in Katherine, Northern Territory. This park is now call the Katherine Holiday Park and the bistro has been renamed to the Fig Tree Bistro which remains a feature within the Park from May to October. As the name suggested that tables and chairs are set up under the canopy of a large Fig tree next to the pool - beautiful spot.
The Bistro is open for dinner six nights a week (closed Monday). During our visit to the park the Bistro was quite busy and they ask you to book to ensure you have a table. Food and drinks are ordered from the bar and the menu changes regularly. We enjoyed our pre-dinner drinks sitting under this fabulous tree soaking up the relaxed atmosphere and listening to the many birds that visit these beautiful gardens. We found the staff friendly and helpful.
Meals are also available as take away back to your caravan or camp site.
