Katherine Holiday Park

We stayed at the Katherine Holiday Park (formerly known as the BIG4 Katherine Low Level Caravan Park) when visiting Katherine in the Northern Territory. This is a very large park located on the outskirts of town with great facilities -

• large pool area surrounded by palms and comfortable seating
• range of cabins that sleep up to 6 people
• safari tents
• large grassed caravan and camping sites - powered and un-powered
• great amenities block surrounded by gardens
• large laundry and drying area
• Big Fig Bistro (open from May to October)- tables are set outside under the shade of a beautiful large fig tree - takeaway meals also available
• BBQs conveniently located around the park,
• a camp kitchen
• wireless internet
• disabled facilities
• welcoming reception with souvenirs and tourist information 
• the best dump point I have ever seen - located on a curved driveway for easy access - you can easily park beside the dump point and empty the toilet without being in anyone's road. The road to the dump is lined with trees and close to the entrance of the Park.

This park is located near the Low Level Nature Park which is a lovely spot for a walk or to fishing in the Katherine River. We had a lovely shaded site with a large cement slab for the annex, backing onto a neighbouring farm. The Katherine Holiday Park has lovely flowing shrubs and trees that attract a variety of birds. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this park to anyone visiting Katherine.
