Club Old Bar

Club Old Bar is a bowling club located on Belford Street, Old Bar - about two blocks from the Old Bar Road. Old Bar is on the coast of NSW about 12 kilometres from the Pacific Highway - turn off at the southern Taree roundabout. They offer a courtesy bus (from local accommodation and residences) seven days a week starting at 5 pm until close (extended nights Friday and Saturday). This bus is fitted with a child seat for children under seven years of age. We appreciate the use of a courtesy bus when on holidays as it allows us to enjoy a night out and a couple of drinks. 

We were staying at Lani's On The Beach Caravan Park and decided to go to Club Old Bar for a meal at the Bistro - they have a great choice of meals with nightly specials, e.g. Sunday Roast for $10. The Chefs specialty is the seafood chowder and this looked fabulous - will definitely try this on my next visit. The Bistro is open for lunch from 12 - 2 pm and Dinner from 5.30 to 8 pm - outside these hours you can order snacks and coffee from the cafe (open daily from 10 am).  

This club supports local sporting and community groups and operates raffles several nights a week. We found Club Old Bar inviting and comfortable with plenty of seating in the bistro - the staff provided very friendly service. We would not hesitate to go back to Club Old Bar for a couple of drinks and another yummy meal.
