After spending some time at the Visitor Information Centre in Gunnedah we decided to head across the road for lunch at the Parkview Hotel on the corner of Conadilly Street and Chandos Street. Conadilly Street forms part of the Kamilaroi Highway and the pub is across the road from Wolsley Park.
The lunch menu at the Parkview Hotel included $8 specials with a choice of about 5 meals – including roast beef, schnitzel, crumbed fish, quiche, and toasted Turkish bread with ham cheese and tomato (August 2016). Great value and this came with free self-serve tea and coffee. Not surprisingly it was very popular.
The main dining room also opens onto the parking area for a small shopping centre with a supermarket. The main bar area was old and small but quite busy with old locals.
