While walking along the footpath near Hovell Tree Park we spied the Public Pizza Ovens – these are apparently fired up every second weekend and people are encouraged to bring their own goodies to cook – bread, pizza, focaccia, etc. These ovens are free to use and an expert Oven Coordinator is on hand to help with guidance on how to cook.
The ovens are located under cover near the Albury Swim Centre and I understand they funded and maintained by Albury City. From October - March (during daylight savings) the oven is open for baking from 3 pm to 8 pm. From April – September the oven is open from 11 am to 4 pm.
What a great way to bring people together.
