Bottle Bay is a camping and fishing spot within Francois Peron National Park, Shark Bay, Western Australia. Access to Bottle Bay is along a sandy 4WD track and you will need to deflate tyre pressures. There are two air compressors (located either side of the road) within Francois Peron National Park to help visitors adjust tyre pressure - deflate to 20 psi to drive on the sandy tracks and then inflate again before hitting the tar on the drive home. We thought this was a great facility which was well sign posted (in several languages) but we still came across people who had not followed instruction and became bogged.
We spent the day visiting Francois Peron National Park and called into Bottle Bay to enjoy lunch in this lovely spot overlooking the water. There are shaded picnic tables, barbeque facilities and toilets provided for visitors. Several camping spots have been created at Bottle Bay and you are able to launch a boat from the beach (a camping fee is payable). The track within Francois Peron National Park is well signposted and we had no trouble finding each location - a beautiful place.
