Holden Museum - Echuca

The National Holden Motor Museum in Echuca does not look like much from the outside but a very interesting place to visit if you are interested in the history of Holden cars in Australia. Holden has been such a big part of our motoring history and this museum has some great examples of this iconic car with plenty of stories about its reliability.

I am sure that most people who grew up in Australia have been in a Holden car during their lifetime - especially those in my age bracket. I visited with my sister who is an absolute Holden fan (we grew up in Bathurst and you were either Holden or Ford) and it brought back great memories looking at some of the old vehicles.  
 
The displays in the museum change regularly with vehicles and memorabilia provided by Holden Ltd, Holden enthusiasts and private collectors. The souvenir shop had a large range of Holden clothes, gifts and toys for all ages - a great selection for that unusual present. They also have a number of books for sale about this special car. The National Holden Motor Museum is located opposite the historic Port of Echuca, close to cafes and restaurants.
