Lake Benalla Foreshore

Lake Benalla has been created on Broken River in the lovely Victorian town of Benalla - about 2 hours north of Melbourne. There is a walking/cycling track around the lake and along the foreshore you will find lovely shaded picnic spots, public toilets, sports playing fields, tennis courts and various points of interest - allow yourself plenty of time to explore.

Things to see on Lake Benalla:

• Benalla Regional Art Gallery which houses historical and contemporary art including works by Sidney Nolan - lovely cafe with views of the lake.  
• Benalla Visitor Information Centre
• Costume and Pioneer Museum
• Weary Dunlop memorial
• Botanical gardens - rose garden
• Gaudi inspired ceramic mural (very interesting)
• river red gums
• varied bird life
