Hunter Street can be found on the edge of Sullivan's Cove on the Derwent River in Hobart, Tasmania. This beautiful street has a number of historical stone buildings that now house cafes, restaurants and a range of accommodation. One famous restaurant on Hunter Street is The Drunken Admiral's Seafarers Restaurant which has been operating as a family run business since 1979. They serve a range of fresh Tasmanian seafood and meals in a building with a great maritime history.
Hunter Street is within walking distance to the Hobart Town Centre, Constitution Dock and the very popular Salamanca markets. We found a range of beautifully crafted timber furniture in some of the shops hidden in various alcoves along Hunter Street. A great place to explore.
