The small town of Mossman is located north of Port Douglas and you will pass through this lovely place on your way to the Daintree National Park and Cape Tribulation. Of course Mossman Gorge is just out of town and highly recommended - a beautiful part of the rainforest.
After visiting Mossman Gorge we headed into Mossman for lunch. We found a really lovely café on Front Street – The Junction Café. Lunch was delicious and we had plenty to eat. Coffee was nice and hot and we enjoyed a lovely chat with the owner. A sugar mill is located just up the road and we watched a few sugar trains pass nearby.
Mossman Riverside Leisure Park is located along the Mossman River and is a Council owned park next to the town pool. Visitors staying at the park have free use of the pool. The caravan park is surrounded by Rainforest trees and shrubs and there are grassed sites.
