Bucasia Beachfront Caravan Resort - Mackay

I am not sure that I would call this caravan park a Resort but it certainly has a great location on the beach at Sunset Bay near Mackay, Queensland. Children under 12 and pets are free and we noticed a number of boats accommodated on the sites. The Bucasia Boat Ramp is adjacent to the caravan park alongside Eimeo Creek.

Bucasia Beachfront Caravan Resort has a range of caravan sites - including ocean view, powered (with or without slabs), and some large sites suitable for 5th wheelers or motor homes. They even offer a pet minding service if you want to head out for a tour or boat trip.

Unfortunately we visited during low tide and the water was a long way off in the distance – the dogs loved this as they ran around the sand flats. The park also has powered and unpowered tent sites, barbeque facilities and a camp kitchen. You will find a swimming pool and children’s playground located in the recreation area (Seaview Park) close to the Bucasia Beachfront Caravan Resort.
