It is quite obvious from the photos that we visited the Bucasia Boat Ramp in Mackay at the wrong time of day. Of course if you wanted to go fishing you would be advised to check the tides as the mud flats can be quite exposed.
Needless to say that this is a great facility with plenty of parking space provided for car and trailer at the end of Bucasia Esplanade - adjacent to the Bucasia Beachfront Caravan Park. This is a two lane boat ramp located near the mouth of Eimeo Creek which opens out into Sunset Bay.
